About Department - In NIMS : College of Nursing Inaugurated on 02/10/1991 by Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri.K.Rosaiah Garu 1st Batch student admissions started from August 1992.
AIM - To Prepare Graduate Nurses for professional nursing practice in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels of health care and also adequately to meet the nursing requirements in superspeciality hospitals.

1. B.Sc Nursing Course 4 years Intermediate/Inter with Nursing Vocational Course 100 Age : Minimum age for admission shall be 17 years completed & should not be more than 25 years.
2. One year Vascular 1 year Diploma/Degree in Nursing Surgery Nursing from any School or College Course. Recognized by Nursing Council of A.P or any State Nursing Council.
3. One year Plastic I year ” Surgery Nursing Course.
4. Post Basic Bachelor 3 years In service Nurses 10+2 of Science in Nursing with 3 years Diploma in (IGNOU) General nursing & Midwifery, minimum 2 years of experience (OR) in service Nurses 10th Class with 3 years Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery with 5 years of experience.
5. M.Sc Nursing - Speciality 2 years, 30 seats Candidate holding a 1. Medical Surgical Nursing 5 seats Bachelor degree in B.Sc 2. Paediatric Nursing 5 seats (Nursing) at least 10+2+4 3. Midwifery and Obstetrical Nursing 5 seats years of educational pattern 4. Community Health Nursing 5 seats from a recognized or 5. Maternal and Child Health Nursing 5 seats established institution/ 6. Psychiatric Nursing 5 seats University under any State or Central Government Act. Age : 45 years.

NIMS : College of Nursing Recognized as programme study center for post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing from 1995.
Duration - 3 years No. of seats - 30 Eligibility criteria - Those who have passed 10+2 with 3 years diploma in GNM with minimum of 2 years experience in the profession.
As a programme study center providing necessary infrastructure facility and academic expertise for conduct of counseling and contact sessions for 2 months in a year for IGNOU students. |
