The department sets new targets each year in the areas of teaching,patient care and improving upon previous gains. For the past 6 years we have been publishing an 'in-depth' annual report that is distributed to plastic surgeons ( and also medical colleagues from related specialities) around the country to make them aware of what we have been doing. The reports are both qualitative and quantitative.

We have an association with Smile Train International,an international charity based foundation,from October 2017,that funds the treatment of children born with cleft lip and palate.This treatment is provided by the hospital and the department absolutely free of cost.The Project Director for this programme is Dr R Parvati, Professor& HOD

Our alumni, especially students who have graduated from us have been very kind in donating books and equipment, the life-blood of adequate infrastructure, over these past 5 years. We express our gratitude to them.

Our post graduates in training are encouraged to present clinical material in annual meetings as part of their curriculum; they are further allowed free rein in attending webinars conducted every month.
