The Department of Pathology has been in the forefront in patient care. The department actively interacts with clinical colleagues and other laboratories on a regular basis to offer a multi disciplinary approach to the patient management. The faculty has a speciality orientation with a view to gain the necessary expertise. We also perform many procedures in the department itself so that the material is processed as per the requirements of the lab. We are in the forefront at the national level in academics. It is also involved in research activities in collaboration with premier research institutes of the country. We update the laboratory techniques and train the techniques to make it a “state of art” facility and  participate in external quality control programs. We are committed to quality training for the postgraduates in basic and advanced techniques. We also encourage training and career advancement opportunities for the technical staff.
